I’m getting tired of setting up VMs in my lab by hand, so I’ve started learning Vagrant as a stepping stone toward using Terraform. The concept is similar—Vagrant automates the creation and configuration of VMs, but it’s focused on spinning them up locally on your machine instead of in the cloud. Once I get comfortable with Vagrant, I’ll be ready to transition to Terraform for managing infrastructure at scale.
