I noticed my Emby server was having trouble keeping media thumbnails and logos, so I decided it was time for an upgrade. I spun up a new VM running the latest Ubuntu Server LTS and reinstalled Emby. After transferring the database, all my user info and media details were intact. The only thing I had to do was reset the paths for my network drives and refresh the metadata. Now everything’s working perfectly, and the thumbnails are back in action.
